What extra parts to have around?
I have a Associated rc10t3 and parts are harder to find. I am trying to put together a tool box and parts box. What parts are the most common that need replaced from general wear and crashes and tools that are always needed. Any suggestions would help.

for tools i would get some screwdrivers and hex drivers and as for parts a arms shock towers castor blocks just some other odds and ends

Personal, I would look for a parts truck or complete roller. Then you have everything. You could probley get one cheap, and you have every part you need.

Remember too, the older AE stuff for your truck takes standard stuff, not metric.

Team Associated has the parts you might want and you can order directly from them:

When we ran T3's we regularly broke these:
front arms
steering blocks
rear arms
If I was going to race with the truck I'd find used rollers on rctech to support my parts needs.

Spur gears, pinion gears, misc. suspension parts, as well as any possible hex drivers, screwdrivers, and other misc. stuff. Also; any extra engine or motor parts(depending on whether its nitro or electric obviously). Thats about all I can think of at the moment...

Will any T4 parts fit on the T3 such as rims, body, etc. And do you have to buy motors for the T3 or will any brand motor work.

Assuming it's an electric, any 1/10 scale motor, type/size 540, should work with a couple of qualifications. And the qualifications are actually speed control/esc issues, not the truck itself. Needs to be a compatible type of motor, brushed, sensored brushless, or sensorless brushless. And some sport level controllers are limited in how hot of a motor they can drive properly.
What can you tell us about the speed control?
