2013 ARCOR race series
Just want to get a thread going about the 2013 ARCOR series...
Does anyone know what cities are involved this year? it would be nice to start getting some dates for the events!
This series needs to grow and become more like the CORCS series, when racing was fun!
Here are the ARCOR dates!
Attention everyone here are the dates for this years 2013 ARCOR Points Series.
June 7-9 Saskatoon
July 5-7 TBA
Aug 2-3 Calgary Nitro Stampede IV
Sept 6-8 Medicine Hat Shoot Out - Final
Classes: 1/8 Nitro Buggy/Truggy, 1/8E Buggy/Truggy, 2WD / 4WD SC.
Entry Fee’s: $25.00 for each entry (max of 3 entries)
Tech: We’re running this on the honesty system but if we see something out of the ordinary (over 10min on a tank of fuel) we will check accordingly.

Don't really mind whether it's run as a series, 2 independent full weekend races, or even four to six 1-day races (2-3 at each venue).
But I'd ask that the format and dates are settled on soon, so that racers can plan their holidays. Also, if we can go with dates that don't collide with or back-to-back the RC PRO series dates, that's be great.

Sounds like glorified club racing with only two venues?

Well said mark. The more racing, the better. If races collide with RC Pro series races, there will be lower #'s in each series. Not everyone can get every weekend for racing. If we have 2 series running on different dates, there will be more chances for people to race, and that benefits all of us.

Austin and I went to all 3 ARCORs last year and it was lots of fun. Please see if you can get something going with RCRE. Thanks to many hard working club members in August of 2012 (not including me as I had put nails through my foot helping tear down the old track), I think the new RCRE track is THE best the club has ever had!!
I am also hoping RCRE gets the RC Pro Nats as I think it is a great facility and track to host multiple events. Hopefuly ARCOR and RC Pro do not have any conflicting dates. Each series has its attractive qualities.

Attention everyone here are the dates for this years 2013 ARCOR Points Series.
June 7-9 Saskatoon
July 5-7 Calgary Rocky Mountian Melt Down
Aug 2-3 Calgary Nitro Stampede IV
Sept 6-8 Medicine Hat Shoot Out - Final
Classes: 1/8 Nitro Buggy/Truggy, 1/8E Buggy/Truggy, 2WD / 4WD SC.
Entry Fee’s: $25.00 for each entry (max of 3 entries)
Tech: We’re running this on the honesty system but if we see something out of the ordinary (over 10min on a tank of fuel) we will check accordingly.
Each city will be running this as a trophy race (each city will have TROPHIES) in the same format as they have in the past (Calgary – Nitro Stampede, Medicine Hat – Medicine Hat Shoot Out). Point’s will be tallied at each city and set up for the final race date. All funds raised at the club’s will stay at the club’s.
As we have more details on the event we’ll update the posts.
Thank you,
Mark Hughes

I think i made it fair for both series as the dates are 2 weeks apart. As more information comes available we'll have it updated.
Thank You
