What is lapping?
Grant;
Lapping is when you take something and evenly remove material from it with an abrasive.
In this instance, it would be laying some fine Sandpaper (400-600 grit) face up on a flat/smooth surface. Then take what you want to lap (a Motor bushing) and rub it on the surface of the sandpaper in a figure 8 pattern untill you've removed the desired amount of material. It helps to stop and turn the part, 1/4 turn every few seconds. This keeps everything nice and even.
After you're done lapping, you can polish the contact face of the bushing with some metal polish if you like.

TexRacer - Alot of the fast guys at my local track use the e-brushes in the reedy 19t quad mag. They get 2 runs max out of them before re-building. Have you tried this before?

Oh....
Never heard of that term. Learn something new here everyday. I've had a few motors that I couldnt center the arm in the can and had to do this before correcting it. Does that come from the factories mounting of the magnets? Hard to believe factories let these out. I had a p2k that I could never seem to get centered properly so I left it very loose in the can, I mean lots of play, and it was the best running motor I've ever had. Crazy stuff! Thanks for the info. Grant

Finally bought a monster tonight from a fast guy at the track. Comparing to my old warn out mvp it has a little less punch but it has very nice top end. Braking seems to be more necessary due to less drag. With my 2400's it came off just warm but with 3300's in the main it came off warm to hot(still a heap cooler then my mvp). I was able to hang with the fast guys on the straight as well as the twisty's(which was a nice change). The motor came with 767's and red/green springs. Lap times were a bit quicker. In the main I used to get low 14 sec lap times with about 5 13's thrown in, tonight almost all were mid 13's with about 5 14's thrown in. When I hit 22 laps I'll know it made a difference, I was .74 seconds off tonight which included two spins in the first corner. My local track setup is alot more open then it used to be; if it was tighter with a shorter straight I doubt I'd have seen such a difference in the lap times.

Monster Stock
I'm not uber impressed with the Monster Stock. It's fast, but no more than the last Trinity stock that was out before it. I have noticed that the Fantom version of whatever stock is out at the time runs just a tic better, most noticably in the oval racing. I finally decided to ditch the landlady for the month and get the Novak Brushless Stock setup, seems to be the new "sportsman" way to go. When I've had fun testing it, I will post my findings.

Guys;
For those of you that have run them both:
How is the Binary Stock comparing to the Monster Stock?
Has anyone tried the Binary Arm in a MS Can (2 mag)? I would think it might improve the torque charactistics slightly.
Thanks,

The Binary seems to be faster in the situations you wouldn't think it'd be faster in (tight courses). It feels slower, but if you look at the laptimes, the Binary is often faster. I don't know why other than the smoothness of the powerband makes driving fast easier.
BTW, Pops, that's illegal, so why do it?

Nothing is illegal until you get caught.

This statement is true, but in reality the Binary itself is still illegal isn't it? So.......
Besides it was just a thought.

At my track in the stock truck class, the desired motor is the P2k. Stock buggy guys are running the GM3 or MHP. I'v ran the B2, but the lack of lowend just isn't doin' for me. A few guys are getting away with it in buggy though. There's a huge track that we run on in the summer, the B2 is a dream there!
