Adding weight to Lipos?
What are you guys using to add the extra weight due to lite Lipos?
It's a huge difference and a lot of weight to add?
Whatever it is, I know it's gonna be big!

It can be a pain to figure out where to put it.

Tungsten is nice but it's expensive. Especially if you're weighting two cars. I think I was looking at over 50 bucks to weight two cars. I'd be pissed if I lost some on the track and couldn't find it.
The best lead weight I've found are the stick on type that Discount Tire carries. It's a bit thinner and wider which make for more adhesive surface. It's nice when you're stacking more than one strip. Plus I walked in there and they gave me a fist full for 10 bucks.

I took JB Weld and put three of together in a triangle formation, leaving a little extra room in the center and once the JB weld had hardened completely...I waited a day.
I tapped the center with a 3mm tap and just screwed it to the chassis as not to put the weight up high on top of the batteries.
Oh yea I also sprayed them with the Black tool dipper stuff that puts a coating on your tools...Just to make it look pretty..LOL You could also put Carbon Fiber decals, or they have Red, Blue and Yellow spray as well I guess.
The Wutty is cool to mold into some cool spots like the bottom of the Orion/Peak 3200 between the chassis divots, than once formed just Shoe Goo it on and your golden...That way to keep all the weight down low...
But one of those kits was enough to do one car so really its not all the expensive and you can remove the weights if you are forced to use Nimh at another track, which was the case for me..I wanted a way to remove the weight and keep it low as possible. I hope that helps you guys.

I imagine most responsible adults know to wash their hands after handling lead. Kids may not be quite as aware, and it's worth reminding them. I'm not saying lead weights in R/C cars is going to create a public health crisis, but it's a toxic substance, and there are superior alternatives.

I've been using these with carbon stickers on them, and they work great. The increased density is a real benefit with limited space to get LiPo up to weight. They look pretty nice with carbon stickers on them too. It's a shame they're expensive.
