Default Redirecting Ads

Just want to start off that I understand the site needs to have ads to keep it free for users. However, the mobile page redirecting with no interaction makes the page utterly useless because I can't even read one page of a thread before I get redirected to a crappy app on Google Play. Which in turn forces me to use ******* to simply scroll the forums, the webpage and visitor both lose in that situation: no revenue for the site, slowed page loading for the user.

Please address your ads with auto-redirect.

Ha! Just came down here to look into this and I agree.

Took me 47 clicks just to get here.

I'm sure they'll take care of it.

I visit the site 2-3 times a day on my phone (Android) and I only get redirected to the Play store about once a week. Big deal.

RCT admins have said many times that this is not an RCtech issue. I can't honestly say if that's true or not but nothing is going to change or be done on our end.

Im happy for you, racer, that you only get a redirect once in a while. However, it does nothing for others that do have the issue of being redirected upon EVERY load of a page. That is a big deal and it appears that im not alone.

I find it very hard to believe that its not a site issue when the redirect occurs at the tail end of the page finishing loading. Speaking of, if you hit stop on the window load after the page comes up it wont get a chance to redirect you. Effective but annoying to do every time you load a new page.

Why not view as "full site"? I routinely do this and have zero issues.

I've been on maybe 20 times since I posted last night with zero issues or redirecting. Weird.

The redirects are turning people away. At least turning me away and I'm sure I'm not the only one. They have been especially bad the past few days.

malware on your phone. I also don't get redirected. However, I also rarely use the mobile version, I always click the "view full site" at the bottom, because moderating on the mobile version is impossible. But the times I HAVE used the mobile version, I don't recall ever getting redirected.

I have not had it happen 1 time since I posted 5 days ago.
I did delete history and clear cookies and reatart so maybe that was it.

Still, this is the only forum that I've ever had that happen.

Only posts, other than this one, are in the FS section. Maybe try eBay.

I'm sympathetic to our members who use the site for which it was intended. You, not so much.

Same here, I rarely log on here on my phone(now a Samsung Galaxy S 6), but when I do I don't see ANY redirects(& I also don't have any ad-specific tools on my phone), so I have a hard time believing this has anything to do with the site...

Well I just started getting the auto redirect again.
Every other page I visit.
Seems to be coming from the random adds at the bottom of the page.

What if you use a different browser?

Another browser?? I think I have another. Have to find it though. Only ever used chrome on this phone.

The issue is hit and miss. Just once in a great while here lately.
