Another thing about diff balls..

Which ceramic balls are consider reliable. I brought the CDB-3 but to my dismay the reliablle not as good compare with original tamiya steel balls. Eventually after few runs I got cracking sound on my diff. Although after service prob still persist. After replacing with the ori Tamiya steel balls all fine.

Yes you can.. I did it for mine. The spur provided by Tamiya is too soft not durable. I replaced it with Yokomo 48p. It lasted me much longer fun time.

When your diff starts to get blown out, you will notice it is most crunchy at the end of the run. This is because the metal expands as it heats up. With the ceramic balls, they will not expand with heat, so even as your diff is starting to go out, it will still feel fairly good.
The other nice thing about the ceramic balls is they are very wear resistant, so you can actually replace the diff rings while re-using the ceramic balls and your diff should still be smooth for at least 2-3 rebuilds.
