Building up some heat in the battery will bring down I.R.

how about running the same battery in the heat race all the way through the mains recharging in between races?

Very easy to do with the higher-power chargers.

Yes. To a point.

Cold pack discharge 30 amps from a store charge.

Charge up so that the pack exterior temperature doesn't get hot.

RUN.
IR drop really low.

If the exterior pack gets to hot the IR will actually start to go up in some packs.
