FYI for anyone who will be in the Southern California area this weekend. On Saturday Night (10/6), SoCal Raceway will be donating all the race entry fees to help the World Trade Center victims. So, if you’ll be in the area and you haven’t raced OnRoad at SoCal yet or haven’t done so in a while, I can’t think of a better night to come out and race.

Is the race going to be starting earlier than the regular time? I believe that there will be a lot of people racing this weekend for the good cost. So, What if there are 30 heats of different classes? won't the race end around like 2 in the morning?

I'm pretty sure it's still race at 6 but you can call to make sure. I get there at 10am every Saturday to work on my stuff and hang-out so I don't know/care what time they start. We've raced as late as 1am before though.

MarkA > Remember those days? That was fun. Racing started at 7, there were about 15 heats and we were not done sometimes till after 1. That was fun.

Of course, these days, people come from all over to spend 11or12hours in the sun at a Hobby Shack race so I guess us RC Racers are just gluttons for punishment.

Well, they had @125 entries in 15 heats, neither figure a record for On-Road and the last race was done at 11:55pm. A pretty good night all in all though.
