For those that are not convinced that a body plays an important role in handling, think of it as this: A 1/10 scale touring car isn't really going 20mph, it is traveling at a speed that is ten times the actual ground speed because it is at a different scale. So the scale speed would be at about two hundred miles per hour, 10x20mph. Am I correct in this?

Actually, the car is still travelling at 20 miles per hour because the air molecules are still moving across the body at 20 mph.. I really don't know where this theory came from. Aerodynamics makes a huge difference on our cars because of the weight of our cars. I think the weight limit for a touring car is around 56 ounces. 5 ounces of downforce at 20mph is pretty easy to obtain and would make a 10 percent (roughly) gain to the downward pressure of the tires to the track. I'm willing to bet that touring cars produce even more downforce than that in reality.

Its been a while so I may be getting it wrong, but there is a law called Froude's Law that states that the effect is the square root of scale. If anyone saw the Discovery Channel on the History of Flight you will see that early inventors made the mistake that scale models scale up to 1:1. The effect is simply not true.
So a ~30 mph R/C is about ~100 mph 1:1 scale more or less because there are a bunch of other factors involved.
I don't know how much aerodynamics come to play but there once was a website where someone actually did a test in a real wind tunnel.
The fact is air is air and you can see the effects with a paper airplane. How much impact each different body really makes, its hard to tell but there is a force that is in effect.
But all this mean very little --- just remember to go out and have some fun

Let me tell ya something buddy. There is no scale speed for r/c's. Actual MPH is the real MPH. That losi that sits on my bench tops out at, let's say 30mph. You say it would be around 100mph full scale. Well the losi is full scale. It is not a real car and could never exist as a real car. Have you seen a plastic "real" car. No. Now if you took, say a civic and scaled it down to 1/10th scale then that could possibly apply. BUT everything would have to be the same as the full sized car, just scaled down.

100kg of sugar and 10kg of sugar, which one is more sweet ?
ditto with a real car traveling at 60km/h and 1/10 or 1/12 scale car travelling at 60km/h, which one is faster ?
If you insist to use scale measurement for "real world" situation, then you can see real car such as dodge stratus or mazda 6 traveling at 600km/h Of course not right?
Btw, aerodynamic body is important factor to get stability on the straight at full speed. I innocently enter 8T motor modified race with mini cooper body and it was awful. The car is not stable at all on the straight. I end up loosing two set of suspension arms, one turnbuckle, damage chassis
So after the race, I follow the other people setup: mazda 6, dodge stratus, nemesis. It is huge different and I'm happy.

I thik that the Vectra has a big push, in small tight tracks it is just slow because of the push.
Mazda6. I think it understeers into corners and oversteers out of 'em.
PF Stratus 1, great body. perfect balance.
PF Startus 2. Slimy. Just don't feels planted
That's my opinion at some of the bodies i've tried.

I think Nemesis body will be my 1st choice from now on. It's smaller, sleeker, the front grill is more rounded and finally the front spoiler / the lip is thinner than Mazda 6.
