the easiest way to get it off without going through all this boiling stuff is to get a sos pad and soak it and rub it on the pipe. takes everything off and leaves a great polish shine

I use 00 steel wool, then 000 steel wool, I clean, polish, my polished pipe every 2 races, and it keeps it looking new. Polished pipes get really nasty and dirty when you don't clean them race after race.

Grab a bowl. Add about 7 table spoons of bi-carb soda. Then add vinegar. It will start to bubble. Soak the pipe in there for about 5 minutes. Grab a tooth brush and rub of all the baked on grime/oil and dirt.

I've tried everything and my wife recommended this to me last week to clean my EFRA 2035 pipe. Comes up great.

cheers

Oven cleaner works great just spray it on and let it sit for a couple of minutes and wipe it off
