Default Mag Dating

Hey Derek, why not just date your magazines Monkey 1 through 12 of 2005, 2006 ect from now on?

Yes, that was a poorly disguised attempt at humor.

I'll help you out because I just noticed that in the Chinese way of the calendar we are in the year of the c0ck (they've changed it to Rooster here).

So from now on it will be c0ck. Next will be the C0ck 6 issue.

Xtreme R/C would be my personal choice because it adds even more fun to the hobby; which is why I chose to do advertising through them. I must say they have a great staff there as well!

I like when people take chances and Xtreme RC does that. On the dating, it has to do with distribution. Other mags in other industries have circulations all over the world and they would take a while to distribute to all the corners years ago. When they finally reached their hard destinations, they still needed shelf life, so the dating took in to consideration the lag in distribution and lengthened their life on the shelf.

My Favorite was Competition Plus. Mostly because a long long time ago my car filled the entire cover. It was the best cover of all time.

Now there are not that many that are geared for me. Mostly for people that are new to the sport. I don't read them to learn anything anymore. Not many that are really geared to the racer, not that I am any good mind you. But I only run my cars on the track.

I have kept some so that if my son wants to start playing with cars, then I want him to read some of the articles while he learns about them.
