Default What air compressor do you guys use?

Which air compressor do you guys use to clean your buggy?

I was looking at this http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-25ec...&storeId=10051

Man, that thing sure get a lot of bad review. But it looks so portable. Also what is the recommended PSI to produce a good clean up and not going to blow the whole buggy away?

I picked up this one for 110 bucks but that's in Australia.

Does a great job at about 100-110 psi.

Here is one from Harbor-Frieght that I bought and works okay. I wasn't going to spend a lot on one that is going to get abused at the track. Plus they have a pretty good waranty plan where you just bring it back for a new one.

I use this one for the track:

http://www.lowes.com/pd_361263-79992...o=PORTER-CABLE

It's pretty decent with 150psi. Small tank though so it runs a lot while cleaning, but has a decently quick recovery to it. I used to have a 3 gallon Craftsman, but it was LOUD and slow to recover.

Ive had a harbor freight compressor over 4yrs, used it at track anf for airbrushing, no problems and no complaints.. If you go to store look in the back on cycle world or other motorcycle magazines there are super coupons right now for $40 compressor.., In fact the same one in the link above.

without a doubt The Quiet Zone air compressor by All Power. Plenty of power, as quiet as a dishwasher.

I had a cobalt 5.5 gallon for a few years, it was nice and reliable, though the air pressure didn't last long.

Just got this one though: http://www.lowes.com/pd_340271-43657...sor&facetInfo=

I like it a lot so far. Good quality, and the 200 psi is great! It lasts much longer than the old one. It is a little loud though, only complaint so far.

Buy the one in the link you posted. I have one and its great. Its better then a lot of the other ones out there because it is 150psi. Its only downfall is its noisy as hell. I dont know how long Ive had mine but its been years. After a couple years the o-ring seal on the outlet tube off the head of the compressor started leaking. I found a place that sells parts online and was able to fix it myself which is another big plus IMO.

i also went the Harbor Freight route:

Pretty quick recovery, which was the most important feature for me...

I have this one also. It works pretty good for the price and what I use it for.

+1 on the porter cable. Works great but it is a little noisy
