Word! Bending Corners is in the house. I don't have any paint jobs to show off but just wanted to say that, What ever you paint and if you like it run it. One thing that the R/C Industry lacks is originality. Be original, and be good at it!

BendingCorners!

I'm always in last, but guaranteed to have a Blast!

Well I don't want to eat up a bunch of space, so just clik on my link in my signature and go to the gallery section. I have uploaded a bunch more pics in the last few days. One of my favorited is the Matt Francis truck bodies. I used his basic ideas, but adapted my own style to them. LMK what you think.....

charlie_b: Please tell me that you don't actually race the beautiful body!

That would be tragic!

Default Your airbrush.....

Hi Charlie_b.... can I ask you what air brush you got for your body work?

I am thinking of the Badger 150 or 160.... but I a not sure if if the spray pattern is small enough as it quoted 30mm minimum...

You advice will be appreciated!

i actually use 2 kinds of airbrushes. for regular spray patterns,(fades and streaks), i use my Iwata Eclipse bottom feed. for Finer detail, i use my Tamiya Superfine..yes, for you guys who don't know, Tamiya does sell Quality Airbrushes and i love them!! the Iwata i got for $70 and the Tamiya i got for $120. In airbrushes, you really do get hat you pay for.

As for the badger, it shold work fine for what you want to do. make sure, for fine detail, lower the PSI and thin your paint more. It is better to work with layers than to cake the paint on all at once. when doing drop shadows and other fine detail stuff, go over teh graphic at least 5 times...it may not lok like it will show the first two passes but building your effect subtly results in a cleaner and more realistic effect.

Normal thinning is 1 to 1(one part paint, one part thinner)
for shadows and fine detail, go 1 to 1 1/2

Hope this helps..and email me anytime.

minimum spray of 30mm? Get an Iwata CS! Using one tip, I can spray less than 1mm, and up to around 2 1/2 inches!

Got another body Saturday, Proto stratus. Got it all drawn up, plan on painting it over thanksgiving.
