Hey guys I just got an email from Garry Owen at AE and he says that they have not made a decision on whether or not they will sponsor my event. Any statements I have made to the effect that they have are not true and should be disregarded

Hey guys, I just thought I would notify you of a brand new contest. I have been talking to someone about designing T-shirts for the race. Then I thought that I should open that up to everybody. Here is the deal:

I want you to come up with the best design that you can for a US Pan Car Championships T-shirt. email them to [email protected]. I will look over the designs and post a poll with the 5 best for you all to vote on. The winning design will be used for the T-shirts and the designer will get a really cool prize as well as a free entry into the event. So get out those art supplies and show us what you got!

Default T-shirt Design Parameters?

Size/Shape constraints? Budgetary considerations? (Colour of shirt, number of inks available, etc.) Deadline?

shirts will run in the large-xx large range (with a few smalls and mediums) they should be white short sleeve round neck T-shirts (not undershirts but actual T-shirts) Deadline: September 31. Other than that its up to your own creativity (just keep it to 2 or 3 colors on any logos though)

Here are the 19T GTS/GT1 rules as of now

Any touring/GT-1 style body UNMODIFIED as it appears from the factory that is either in production or has been retired AND has appeared in a GT/touring class event in the last 5 years (ALMS, SPEED World Challenge, etc). Verification may be necessary to determine manufacturer and/or date of production. Please have manufacturers name and/or website available during initial tech session (tires may not protrude from body)

Any ROAR legal modified as it appears directly from the factory wound with 19 turns of 19 gauge wire. Adjustable timing allowed.

200mm max chassis width

Only 5 months to go! we have picked up a couple big name sponsors, and we are in discussions with another couple other big names. Also, we are discussing using the 2005 ROAR rules. There should be a decision on that Monday morning.

Hope to see some of you down in TX!

)

Also, I just finished talking with the owner of Hobbytown San Antonio and if you wish to enter a second class it is $25 for the second class and $15 for the third class or thereafter. Also, we are making an exemption for ONLY the 12th scale oval class (due to the lack of available bodies on the market): If you run 12th scale stock or mod oval ONLY, you can run a GTP body if you cannot find a 12th scale NASCAR body for your car.

Let the odyssey begin! (Entries are now open, you have until April 30 so get em in!)

We will have decals ready to go hopefully this week for all the entrants. I will post pics of them when I get the final design work.

Also, the T-shirts are being finalized (with sponsor logos and everything) so hopefully I can post those pics up here as well.

All I have left to say is...

THE US PAN CAR CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE COMING...ARE YOU READY?
