Lately there have been around three heats 17.5 TC sportsman (non boosted) and two heats VTA on the carpet here in Nashville, over on the other side the off road has really been kicking with around fifty entries per night. Comprised mostly of 2WD buggy and SCT.

our local clubs most popular class is speed spec. Its basically WGT only gayer, if you can imagine...

thank goodness there are still TC die-hards like myself that keep it going!
But usually only 4 or 5 of us there.

In Colorado at CORRC it's 17.5 open ESC, 12th 17.5, and then 13.5 WGT (10-25 entries, most people run multiple classes, 7 - 14 bodies).

At our smaller track eTeam Hobbyplex it's 12th 17.5, VTA old rules, 13.5 WGT, than TC 17.5 (10-25 entries, most people run multiple classes, 6 - 13 bodies).

We've also seen attendance drop dramatically in the past few years. It's very sad, we used to have 45 to 60 entries on a Sunday for carpet. Early 2000 to 2007 our outdoor program at two location where getting 60-80 entries each on a Sunday. It's been a downhill slide ever since 07'.

Some people have just stop racing and many others have converted to off-road. The indoor off-road track in area is currently getting 60-80 entries every Wed and Sat. I've noticed many of the tracks that broadcast on LiveRC are very similar to these numbers. It seems off-road is where it's at right now. Hopefully things will turn around in the next few years and some of the off-roaders will move into on-road or those that got burned out will comeback.

Now that things have leveled out some with ESCs and BL motors maybe on-road classes will stoop changing on a monthly bases... which is probably part of the reason on-road has suffered lately, too much change too quickly.

12th scale 17.5 boost or 13.5 boost are pretty popular here.
Now WGT is getting big too.

It's a carpet track.
