decent club racing motor??

oh yea its a, good club racing engine it has pretty good torque use a 86 pipe and gear up , a tooth on the bell if you race on a large 1/8 track with a long straightaway cause it will lack some top end.
although i think it, would be better in a truggy because of the torque.
right now im using, a rb hobby 9 (s5) 5 port on my truggy its competive in club racing.

if your racing on a smaller 1/8 track it will rock !
i know it did on, my closed local track last year dont tighten past just snug
on the carb nut, on the bf .21 because it will strip easy and cause a bad tune.

I run one in buggy...it's a giant killer with a Dynamite 053...tames the bottom a tad and lets it breathe a little on top...as much as a three port can breathe on top...winds out pretty good, really....

Definitely a good motor. I ran one with an 086 at the JConcepts clash and qualified 4th. It was bone stock and got the job done.

the 053 is a bottom end pipe it should give you more bottom end and restrict the top end not the other way around

Naw....mid pipe.

it does NOT need an 086 pipe at all uness you have LONG straight aways. mine struggled more with the 086 than an 053!!! i wasnt able to make jumps out of the turns with the 086 but made them with ease with the 053, gave it a little more bottom AND gave it 2 min more run time. i got over 10 min a tank with 053 versus barely making 8 min with 086. if your track isnt wide open then 053 is all you need. i just do not see why everyone needs all this top end power when 90% of the time you cant even get to it. this isnt a drag race guys, just saying
also the GRP is way faster than that engine. youll probably want your GRP at smaller tracks.

it says to use a max of 25% do i need to shim for 30% and i have a new gallon of 20% but i run 30 will it hurt in the long run if i used the 20 to break it in ,and i have a jp3 pipe at the moment will that be a good pipe or should i get the 053 its a smaller tight track with good size jumps ' but not alot of run up on them
i race at rescue mini speedway
