rotary nut did your 5645 hitec servo have centering issues everytime i gotton a hitec the centering is terrible maybe the top of line servos are a lot better in centering

no I did not notice any problem not centering correctly, but then again I haven't had the buggy that long, if you're having issues with it send it in, I'm sure they won't let you down. I just bought their HPP-21 digital servo programmer from A Main, it'll give me a little peace of mind to set them up correctly and it's fairly cheap. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...rvo-Programmer

well for the last race im racing this sunday im going to a futaba servo they always center reguarless if they are cheap, maybe the programer would help with that not sure even though i never seen anybody with one at the track

i proberty next year just get a more expensive hitec i would send it to get fix but i weery of it just losing its center again,they should fix that problem when they are new diffrent componets or something

I Love how you base Hitecs rep on the 5645 that you keep repeating has centering issues....HOW many time's have you been told to just cough up the 100$ get a 7955 and be done with it ? Seriously.....not trying to be a jerk here....but the 645/5645's are Nothing like their Ti geared brother's.
rotarynut, Kinda shocked they charged you for the motor winding.......but i can tell your happy with the service....Hitec is Top Notch when it come's to warranty....No receipt No problem.

I dropped the cash on the fancy JR high volt series, raced them 3 times, had one go out and then pulled them that night and sold them the next week. Now I have hitec 7950's & 7940's installed in my buggy and truggy and well see how they hold up. Over the last 2 years I have used JR 9100 series and hitec 79XX series. I have had more JR servos dump on me than I can count prob close to 7 or 8 and in that time only one 7965 go out. Both JR and hitec replaced the servos every time but I just dont want any more DNF's due to servo failure. I have to say I have had better experience with the hitec servos than JR but that didnt stop me from trying their HV series. Hitec servos are great servos second to none.

i have a futaba servo thats around $84 and never had centering issues its just the cheaper hitecs

a bad winding on the servo motor sounds like a mfr. defect and should have been fixed under warranty...

Integra , the way I figured, I'd been $100 (minimum) in the hole if I would have had to buy 2 new servos, 24 bucks is not bad at all, a fairly inexpensive lesson to learn. The servo programmer is on the way,have you used one before? seem's that it would be a "for shure" way to set up your servos EPA's, fail safe and overload protection(for the high end servos) and it's not that expensive. check out all it can do

il try out some of the $100 hitec servos next year and see how they are,everytime hitec i have gotton has centering problems the cheaper ones .
i have good luck with the futabas cheap or more expesive ones

yes my radio has EPAs but thats about it, I think the programmer might give you more precise adjustments, and it does other stuff your radio can't do. I come from the auto tech industry, I have used "generic" scanners per say,they are very limited as to what they can do compared to a "manufacturer " specific scanner, they are way superior. I guess it comes down to how precise and versatile you want to be. I looks like the program allows you to "save" your setting and therefore perhaps save a setting for a particular track, this would eliminate any guess work.
