I found these pics of a prototype car when I was surfing around a few weeks ago. It apprears to be called a Fire12., and it looks to be based on a Corally, as well.

I'd love to get my hands on one of these. Anyone seen it before or know anything more about it?

10 years ago Corally had a 12th scale called the SP12V (6-cell). Honda House owner and Wayne Vince re-designed the chassis on the V car to put the cells down the middle. The car worked good (anything works good when Wayne Vince is driving it). I had one for about a year but could never do well with it.

way_fast_cells-If you look on the website you will see pre-production version...

Looks cool! Silver carbon fiber is definitely different.

Anyone have any idea how this will handle as opposed to a CRC?Speedmerchant link car?

The car you will get, however might differ in minor details from the final version that's still in development.

If anyone's interested, there's also a 10th scale pancar version of the Ascari car. I will post pictures if there's some ineterest. This one is at its final stage of development.

Mathijs,
Thank you for the contact info.

That is correct. We will be testing the preproduction versions in the coming weeks at various tracks in New England. We are targeting Thanksgiving for the production versions. The production versions will differ slightly from the picture shown on the website but it gives you an idea of what to expect. Feel free to e-mail us at info@darkside with any related questions or order reservations.

Thanks

Eric

not yet, his first name is Robert. he has mentioned that a British RC mag did a small write-up on it back then when they saw it at a race he ran at in California.

There's going to be two optons for setting tweak, I just didn't have the stuff attached in the picture yet. The first will be with springs on the trailing links (CRC Style) and there will also be an optional cross brace that will allow the use of the micro VCS side shocks instead of the above mentioned springs.

Darkside-Will this be sold as a complete kit or a conversion? Cost?

How about support at my local track?

I remember this car...Roland is always tinkering with chassis...He truely is an R/C Hobbist

Default ALIEN Racing GoldRace 1/12

Hello Guys,

I'm pride to present you the last evolution of the FIRE 12 called the GoldRace.

It's a carbon conversion kit for all Corally's 1/12 cars. It will race the 2005-2006 french championship and perhaps other if someone is crazy enough... lol

The first test are very good for handling and performance.

To contact me : [email protected]

wow, revisited innovation i haven't seen in years.

4 inline battery 1/12ths, ASCARI either in Corally or AE format, Darkside...of course AE format, and the Fire-12 off the Corally platform.
