Default 1/5th On-Road coming to Joliet, IL

I figured with the interest now being seen and the news I had yesterday.
This now warranted it's own thread.

To all those interested, we do now have our first 1/5th scale on-road event provisional y booked at the track!

The day is Saturday 11th July From 8.00am till 3.00pm

It is looking as though the day will cost around $12 each. The timing equipment will be available and we are able to pit around the track if you desire.

If you would, please post here or send me a pm if you are interested and can see yourself attending.

This is a great opportunity for us to run our 1/5th scale car's at a very nice facility.
A big thank you goes to Alex for making the necessary arrangements and to Scotty and all those at LeisureHours Raceway!!

Let's see if we can at last get some 1/5th scale on-road action going here in the MidWest...... and where better to start then http://leisurehoursraceway.com/

Hope to see you there.

Regards
BM

Thanks Tony. It's all looking very promising. This first event we are basically concentrating on just getting everyone together, with all their different types of cars and having some fun-n-food as well as a little racing too.
At the moment we have around 12 to 14 people with their cars interested in coming down! Which is great!!
Will be interesting to see how interest in the event carry's on growing.

Regards

Hi all ....

Things do indeed look promising for our first 1/5th scale on-road visit to Leisurehours Hobbies Raceway.
There have been over 20 people stating an interest in attending this first meet.!!
So good to hear!
Personally, I have been wanting to throw my FG F1 1/5th scale around a track for quite some time. See how she does.

Will keep you posted.....

Regards

Yes. I thought I saw you posting about it. I had some good news in that my new body is on the way?!!
The wheels/ tires look cool and will look great with a McLaren body!

I was thinking on trying some of these for tires. They are new from Italy??

http://deltaplastikusa.com/index.php...product_id=265

They look as though they would be a great track tire be-it parking lot or prepared track? .... will have to see.

Should look very nice Alex.
I'm looking forward to seeing all the different cars that are going to come.

I'm thinking I need to "sticker-up" my F1 body. Make it look a little more decent

I also need to address the servo situation for the car too .... hmmmm

Lots of things to address before July

I haven't checked yet but I think last time out with the car I had one of the duel steering servo's fail on me. May need at least one steering servo, maybe two if I'm going to upgrade?!

I will have to check. Been busy rebuilding the 1/8th scale GT. The 1/5th scale is next ..... That's for sure!
