Lots of Fun
With no racing at MMR tonight, I headed to Ricks with the big XRAY. I had a blast with the track wet or dry. Nice job guys..

Question: What's involved in track maintenance?
I started running a 4wd Slash last year at the Toy Box and Foley - never been to an outdoor track before. As I understand it, patrons of RHF are supposed to help with track maintenance and make donations. What's involved? Should I bring my own rake/shovel? Are donations/fees collected on-site during races only? Would love to get some open practice time in on my weekdays off - just want to make sure I'm abiding by the appropriate conventions. Forgive me if these are old questions - I only ask as I was not able to find the answers after a whole bunch of nosing around, so I figure some of the answers may bear repeating.

The track work is fairly well done for the year. The guys who run the track will post on here if a work day is needed. There are tools there, so if you see something that needs attention, feel free to address it. The track is free, so it depends on donations and race fees. It is a great place to practice because it is open every day. Your financial support would be greatly appreciated. There is a donation box in the shed. Enjoy.

Sweet, thanks!
Went out there last week in the hopes of avoiding the rain - really cool place. I'll definitely be back!

We are having a workday for the racetrack on Thursday August 7 at Freedom Raceway at Rick's Hobby Farm in New Richmond, WI.
We will be working on the driver's stand and the track. Please come one out and work a little while. Bring your toys too because when working on the track, there has to be some testing! haha
