The irony here is that for most of the 'better' racers, they'll do well regardless of class... make it a 'three wheeled 55t crawler motor' class and you'd see mostly the same faces on the podium. The great divide seems to happen with those of us probably destined for lower mains.

My .02 - if VTA and any blinky class is involved, count me in. Boost still seems silly to me, and yes.. that issue has been repeatedly beat to death on various old threads. Personal preference, and the end result will be the same rules will apply to everyone present and the results will be about what anyone would expect. For those of us not making a living via toy cars, it should be about rubbing elbows with some really good racers and having fun.

I thought up until I read this thread that there would be a WGT class --as in years past. I've be to Leisure Hours for offroad and it is a great place....If they add WGT I would definatley be there. This will be a great race!

Interesting assortment of classes... Glad to see an intermediate sedan class brought back.

there are great flight times at super low prices leaving from newark direct to midway. i want to hit buy... just help me through the process

was 13.5 last year in jackson, nj and was real fun and a challenge to get a good run onto the straight.
17.5 will be sleep slow on the big track like leisure

but I should be there for the race barring work....

boost is dead Tekin made the best mouse trap and killed it plus when Hara can run mod laps with a 17.5 tekin boost tc at vegas it sort of makes boosted unreachable for the 99% of the drivers that can't run drive that well. I'm just glad that roar isn't running the 21.5 TC class like they did at the 2010/2011 carpet nats as the "stock" class

seems like Roar is listening to some of us here and there

While you will be able to relax on the straightway in 17.5, you will see some really good racing... When we ran 18 in the VTA main, it was GREAT to watch and the drivers LOVED it... Yes a bit slow on the straightway but allowed them to take a breath and get ready to do battle in the infield for the next lap, and battle they did......
