Default GT7 or LRP Quantum 2 or ????

hey,

i was woundering what u guys would think about these 2 ESC's, because i would like to get a good radio down the track(mabe a 3PK HRS) and i woulds like to know the PRO's and CON's of these 2 ESC's so i could make this decision.

i will be running a Xray Evo 2 with a monster stock 27t, is there anyknow glitching with this cause i saw this other thread about this guy gettin bad glitching.

Thanks

Default ESC

I have both GT-7 and QC2 fitted to my Xray Evo2 with KO EX-10 Helios without any problems, The GT-7 is bigger in footprint and very smooth, QC2 seems to have better punch and smaller. No glitching encountered with both cars. QC2 has a better laptime, I 'm using mod motors(PT) for both setups. Either one is a good choice.

why do u think the QC2 had better laptimes and punch?

did the GT7 have pretty good punch?

and is the QC2 as smooth as the GT7?

Comparing both is difficult, when there is a difference, it's slight, however the reactive frequency does give you an advantage.

The Q2 has a reactive frequency function where it varies the frequency as you drive to give you better punch and still have a smooth power band. I'd personally go with the Q2 as it's smaller than the GT7 and you don't have to run that huge a$$ capacitor like you do with the GT7

Normal ESC works on a fixed frequency, the QC2 has reactive frequency which means the ESC will change it's frequency along with speed. Another ESC to consider is the KO VFS2000J which the driver can program the frequency in 32 steps.

Matt, the punch will not decide who wins...

True, but you dont want to be flat when coming out of the corner.

sorry for all the questions but i want to be sure before spending money on a good ESC cause i dont really want to but a new one any time soon after.

Hey Matt its Roger

I have ordered the quantum comp 2. As you know I already use the quantum comp original. You can try them both if you want when racing starts again. That way you can make your own decision before buying.

Also you owe me 20 bucks for the battery bars

Cya next meet

Default Battery Bars

There expenive battery bars. lol

I will have a new Quantum comp 2 on its way soon due to its size and driver frequency feature.

Look at the specs there is quite a few interesting things the quantums got OVER the GT 7
