Default MY NEW CARBON FIBRE TT-01

Hi,

I thought I'd show you my new 3Racing carbon fibre TT-01. I'ts fully hopped up with alloy parts from 3Racing and Yeah. I'm still working on getting it set up and for all those who say "it's still a TT-01", I can tell you that so far the setting up and handling couldn't be more different.

I'm looking forward to getting it running properly and I'll keep you posted with the progress.

Regards,

Its looking ace mate I think it will be good on our circuit as the chassis will be really stiff (like my Ta05ms).

Here is my set-up

FDR - 7.63

Front - Blue springs
yellow stabilizer
0 deg toe in
-2 deg camber

Rear - Yellow Springs
yellow stabilizer
3 deg toe in
-2 deg camber

You going to be racing this week?

Hello mate - good to see you on here. I missed out last week, but expect to be there this week, and hopefully over those little niggles I've had lately. My current set up :-

rear :-
0 toe
-2 camber
yellow springs
blue stabiliser
37 shore tyres

front
1 toe out
-2 camber
red springs
red stabiliser
40 shore tyres

Like I said in the earlier post, this is totally different to the tub cahssis set up, practically opposite !!

See you Thurs.

I got mine from Stella Models in Hong Kong via Ebay. Do a search on Ebay and you'll find one. RC Mart usually have them but had sold out when I went to buy one.

I am a bit confused. By the time you do all this (dollars wise) wouldn't it be simpler to buy an Evo 5 and have a better handling car?

Hi,

Alot say that, but I've just checked out the Tamiya usa website and the list price for that car is $897. A UK model shop is selling it at £315 which is about $600. I paid less that half of that price for totally upgrading my car, and it has left me with my original TT01 as a spare.

The way the TT01 works is that you buy a base car and put a couple of hop-ups in such as the bearings and driveshaft. From then you add a bit here and there to impove the car. By the time you decide to go for the carbon fibre chassis the choice of changing car to an out and out racer is too expensive. Our club is quite informal so the latest expensive car isn't needed.

A 415 ??? .. which one? The 415 has been superseded.

All I was saying that spending a lot of money on basic car will never make it as fast as the full blown race models.
