It's really too bad about Maifield. He was checked out and gone and according to the pace he was on, he would have lapped 2nd place 3 times! He made AE proud though as did the other Ryan. I think the world took notice that the RC8 will be the car to beat.
Hats off though to Adam Drake. He drove a smart race and proved why many think he is the best in the world.
I'm looking forward to the truck nats. It should be another great race.

Well, congrats to Adam THE Drake, who has a Losi and now also a NAtional 1/8th scale title!
According to previous intraweb banter, this means the TL 8ight is the best car in the Nation, since three of the top 5 were 8ights, it is settled!
Of course everyone who didn't win will have a reason, but that is the beauty of gas racing, there is always the next one!!!
Surprising, one Mugen, a Hobao, some Jammins, X Ray, OCM, AE, TL, Kyosho....
Kinda makes me wonder how much the cars matter, all kidding aside. Almost all the same guys as the last few races, alot of them running different cars, still in the show, still in about the same spots. For the most part anyhow.
Maybe the driver does make the biggest difference.
BTW, Valentino Rossi won again, so did Charmichael.

We crushed the old record number of visitors which brought some unexpected slow speeds half way through the day, but by the end we learned a lot of new tricks to speeding things up and will definitely have those implemented for the next race.
