What motor timing are you guys running in boosted classes?

What timing seems to provide the most torque?
I've found that increasing the motor timing does seem to improve acceleration even though logic would suggest the extra timing will reduce the grunt.

I must confess that I'm seeing the best results for accelleration and speed when the motor timing is between 25-30deg.
This is with the ESC backed off a bit, 42-48deg timing (max available is 55)

Whenever I have run 20deg timing on the motor, it is still fairly fast, but just seems to lack the oomph out of slower corners.

I have run 32deg a couple of times but blew a stator at my last outdoor meeting.

I have also found that it likes to rev a lot so I have geared down a long way.

Perhaps, but 'sent to BRCA' isn't quite the same as 'BRCA legal'

Is there any news on whether they'll allow it or not, and was the purple rotor also sent??

Do you know what the gauss rating is for the blue rotor?

All of the motors were submited to Paul Worsley at BRCA along with all of the tuning rotors. paul was waiting on the UK dist to notify him they had them in stock. They never ordered the rotors and no notification was given to Paul. We have another dist coming on line here very soon. They will notify Paul once they are in stock. At that time all rotors will be allowed.
