servo advice for a buggy?
Hey guy's, looking at getting some new servos for my new d8 buggy, I quite like the look of the ace/xp (not sure if there's a difference between the two) ds1313 for my steering, with 12kg of torque it should be fine, would you guy's recommend the 1015 over the 1313? Completely stuck on throttle/brake servos. Please recommend other brands/models if you favor them.
EDIT: I've also just noticed the Hi-tec hs985mg ultra torque and the hs965mg ultra speed for a good price and spec, not sure how good these are?

+1. Even though my last Z9100T lasted all of 2 weeks, JR has a very no-frills warranty service that corrected the issue immediately.
In the meantime, I bought a Futaba BLS-351 for my steering, and let me just go on record as saying that I will now only be keeping the Z9100T as a backup servo, because the BLS does feel a little better.

the one you have selected for throttle would not be a bad choice.. i would consider something else for the steering though

there is no diffrence in the xp/ace servos ...they are highly under rated on the specs ....they are made by the same company associated ace hobby ...i have ran these servos all year ....1015 on throttle 1015 on steering ...they work awesome if the linkages they are hooked to are set up right ......one thing no one has mentioned is that if you go with digital servos ...best make sure your running a mac daddy rx batt pack ...they will suck the life out of standard nimh rx packs .....steer clear of the lower end hitech servos ...they are junk and under racing conditions will burn up .....they do however have good return policy ....fill out form send it in with reciept and servo ..and get new servo .....for me i wouldnt pay the recently even more inflated price for the jr servos ...they are good ...but not worth the 139.95 amain needs for them ....if your running regular ole rx packs from the hobby store ...try a pair of airtronics 358's ...they have 200in oz of torque @ .10 .....i still have a pair ive had for 2 years ...and they still run good for backups

I had a friend who was running JR's not sure what model in his Losi as a throttle servo and it burned up 5 times in a year and after the 4th time they sent him a new one and a letter stating this would be his last replacement on this particular servo. Well it went again and he sent it in again once again they sent him a new servo and a letter stating I told you last time that would be the last replacement, this is absolutely your last one. LOL
