Default Updated photos

Homestead RC Raceway has a refurbished track. The photos show the wide, fast, and car friendly lanes. The track layout has been striped. The infield areas have been painted. All turns have been smoothly radiused with red and white simulated berms. The Christmas race and practice days have proven these improvements make for a fast and flowing racing circuit with good grip and very little car breakage.

The first race of 2008, at the recently renovated Homestead RC Raceway, will be this Sunday, January 6th. Those of you who want to test out the new high-speed circuit, the track will be open for practice all day on Saturday starting at 10:00 AM.

World famous chef Johnny Wong will be catering this event with his famous specially brewed hot dogs and secretly seasoned burgers. I wonder if champagne will be on the menu for this New Year's event?

Come join us for a fun and an action packed weekend at the 2008 Happy New Year Gran Prix.

Default The Stripes

I don't recall seeing a track with so many stripes. From the pictures it seems difficult to zero in on the apex of the turns. Is it easier than it looks?

I think the stripes are a terrible distraction, but I'm sure someone will tell me why they are the greatest thing in the world. Anyone?

I am sure the lines are to help the people without much experience. It helps them stay in the middle of the track. The people with experience do not even notice the lines.

the lines play less of a factor now because all the borders are painted with a light green. you can see it in the last pic. on Doug M.post with the F-180 in it. And Dj is right the center line does help the less experience drivers. And the experienced driver don't even see it.
