CALLING ALL HPI CUP RACER EXPERTS!
Help guys ive been using my CR for drift. And recently wanted to do some drag racing with it against my buddys XO-1. So I finally threw rubber tires for the first time. Ive never seen an RC car launch so hard in my life. Race went great for him my car only went maybe a foot. The bevel gear in the rear exploded. Ive got the gear diffs in the front and rear because ive destroyed many ball diffs. Question is where on earth can I find a better bevel gear.

Yes, there are still those of us that love and run our CR's ...
So you want to do what? -Make your CR'r go 100mph and race your buddy's XO-1?
First off, the XO was built for top speed, our CR was not.
With that said, yes, you'll probably tear up gears as well as tires, etc..
If your looking for metal gears,
try "Asiatees" ...do a google search. They sell metal parts for our CR's.

Well my driveline is solid metal including the washer that holds the spur gear on. I just need a stronger bevel gear I exploded it.

My theoretical too speed in 95mph and about 2hp the cars a monster.

Your car is gonna be out of control after 50mph and you will be lucky to have mini tires that can even handle over 70mph.

If I ever get to 70 I'll find a solution to that problem its just kepoing the driveline together is the hard part

yes, we sound like nay-sayer's ...but I've pushed various cars to the limit over the years ...you fix one thing and another problem arises.
Provided you do get metal gears (I do think I've seen them via Asiatees).
you may run into trouble with that too. I've found that plastic spur against metal pinion works best. ...I actually grinded up my metal spur and metal pinion worse in another street car that I was trying to get to go faster than I probably should have. ..in any case, get the metal spur then let us know when you get up to 70, or 90 mph ...I'd love to see a CR'r beat an X0-1 !
