I have maked my decision now.. i am going to buy a used 960
and upgrade from my vector.. i was out today with a friend and raced.. oh my god.. its so fun we are both on the same "beginner" level..
i have seen some for sale for about 350 USD that would be like 2400SEK
i think that is a good price because here in sweden a new 960 costs about 6000 SEK

Any tips for suggested options or modifications?

Yep, don't.....
Certainly when you are on a beginners level, drive the car out of the box (or as you bought it)
After a while (more then 2 years) it might be an idea to upgrade with nice option parts, but if you do that already now, you will not notice the difference (or have benifits from them)
Also don't buy a very fast engine, it will kill your driving learningcurve......

i am gonna use one of my engines.. My MEGA SX21 that runs very good or my Mugen..

to improve the strength on the car with options is always nice.

i am going to my a friend's 960 because he is gonna buy a new 960.
this because he is one of the top drivers in sweden

i am going to buy the car with full option for only 3500SEK (468,89 USD)
no shipping because i buy it from him here localy

What did you have, Water Buffalo or Sea Lion?

Garen, are you staying in mainland China?

I'm sure the topic will return to the 960 soon. Garen is a Serpent USA team driver and Doug M is the Serpent team manager. At this time with Garen being in China I think the thread is just being used to see how he is doing.

Thanks Chris, just checking on my friend and having a little fun.

Chris, did you get a chance to try the new muffler bearings? We over nighted them to you to test on the 960 at the Pro Series Race.

I run the servo in the stand-up position. The 960 you are buying should include a complete clutch.
