Does anyone have any experience w/ this motor. Anyone know who actually makes it for Orion? Was thinking about putting this in my R40.

Header, depends on type and brand of vehicle.
Fuel with at least 18% lubricant and 10-20% nitro. Most of the fuels
we carry meet or exceed the lubricant content required for optimum
performance and maximum engine life. In the past, the conventional
lubricant content in fuel was 18%. But with new technologies
fuels like Red Alert and O'Donnell for example, have a better
quality of lubricants even though the percentages of lubricant
are lower. These high-tech lubricants provide exceptional cooling
and protection.

Distance between mounting holes same side: 0.47" (12mm)
Distance from top of head to bottom of mounting flanges: 2.91" (74mm)
Distance from top of head to bottom of crankcase: 3.38" (86mm)
Distance from bottom of flanges to crankcase bottom: 0.47" (12mm)
Distance from back of engine to end of crankshaft: 3.46" (88mm)
Distance between mounting flanges: 1.53" (39mm)

It's a Picco XP 12. Great engine if you can tune it.

It needs thourough sealing around the carb and the backplate.

It's fast as hell though..

What Stefan said. But I dont recomend them, the one I had didnt last as long as the Novarossi based engines I have had. The carb is a major POS. One good thing to do to that engines is to drop a Nova carb on it. It makes easier to tune, and it runs faster too.

I appreciate the response. Fast or not, I don't want to pay $170 for a motor thats kind of picky tuning wise and has a crap carb.

I have the Ofna/Picco version but haven't run it yet.I had already
decided on changing the carb anyway.I'll let you guys know how it runs.

Mine goes really well, After I took the carby of and changed it for a novarossi carb,

But I had the same problem with an sts I brought for club racing.
The novarossi carb fixed that as well.

But the motor goes well. But you will prob have carb problems after a while.

Like everyone said, the carb is junk. It is pretty fast. Good torque and bottom end.
