is it ok to spray behind the flywheel with wd40 to keep the bearing clean?

while i am at it. Are ready rollers good clutch bearings? My LHS carries patriot rc which is garbage but 2 clutch bearings is like 5$$ what a joke!

I thought brake cleaner was bad for bearings? it's ok to spray behind the flywheel with it?

Doesnt matter right now anyway. just noticed my carb boot has a small hole in it.

iv always used brakleen to help loosen up heavy grease in clutch bearings. then sometimes add a little medium bearing lube

the bearings that come with most kits are ok. You can order some bearings from Avid bearings for a buck each and there alot better then the ones in the kit and you can just throw them out when they start to get rough and not worry about wasting money.

Better to use the WD-40 or a citrus spray cleaner. Nitro and brake cleaners dry out and help shrink the rubber seals...not what you want.

+1 Since the front bearing is rubber sealed I wouldn't use brake/nitro cleaner. Even tho it says non chlorinated I still will not use it on o-rings, plastics or rubbers just to be safe.
