Default charge rate on my Intellect LiPo Battery 40C 7.4v 5000mAh???????

Im not an electric guru, so be easy on any of my terminology...

I always charge my battery a 5 amps. Some people said you can safely charge at way over that depending on the battery. What, if any, rate could i bump my Intellect LiPo Battery 40C 7.4v 5000mAh battery up to? Thanks

For lipo, its recommended to charge at 1C ... meaning for a 5000mAh battery, charge it at 5 Amps.

The manufacturers say 1c charge rate. At that rate I have personally gotten ~ 500 cycles out of a set of cells. I have read that 2-3c can be safe and I have known people that do that but getting 500 cycles out of a set of cells appeals to me so that is where I stay.

The manufacturer told me that I can charge 3-5C for fast charge as long as my lipo charger could make accurate cutoff, this infos is for IP5000 50C version.

Personally, I charge only 6-6.5Amps for fast charge to be on the safe side.

You can ask them yourself about the exact specifications. [email protected]

Is a bog standard Accucel 6 something with a good enough detection engine to charge 6000mah past 1c (not that it can!)?
