I know what you mean
In the course of making the kit, I managed to put an exacto knife into my palm, 3/4 of the way in. Needed a tetnus shot, but it is not all bad, the model turned out great, the the wound healed in a few days and didn't affect my golf game
I also cut the end of the crazy glue, and a stream shot out missing my model's gear box by inches LOL. I hate super glue.

I am really feeling this F series
Dude, I am really feeling this Tamiya F103/F104 stuff. Quick question. Can you bash with them (smooth parking lots)? Can you run a 3.5 in one? Speeds? Maintennance? Will a GTB fit? With the closed shell, how does the speedo stay cool? I run a Maxamps packs, will they fit? And anything else you fellas can relay. Thanks.

The F104 can run on a parking lot surface, but you will probably want to find a nice smooth surface, we have a track setup on a tennis court surface which works really well. As for the speed control, your GTB could be made to fit, it sounds like it is the same size as my old Novac Rooster, but really something smaller is more ideal. Holes in the body can assist cooling.
I went with Associated IPC v8.1 controller which is quite a bit smaller than the Novac. I am not a lipo guy so someone else would be better to answer batt questions.
As to why there is not much popularity, I think it is due to the fact that the F104 is just starting to hit the stores in most places. Once more get built, it will catch on. I really love the 104pro. It brought me back into a hobby that I thought I was finished with. I think it will be attractive to an older F1 crowd, or those that appreciate finesse driving.

I munted my paint, It ran under the masking tape. Which isn't that much of a surprise as the masking tape is many years old and came from a hardware store. In fact I use it on every body I paint and it always runs
Still, The car looks glorious on the track.

Wanting to go on to the F1 class here, probably I am going to get an F104 next month.
I already have batteries and some stuff from my pan car and my TC, but which electronics do you recomend for cam motor race?
