Default Shnoo's- Which is better thread...

Like the title says:

Which is better at bashing?

Which one is better at jumping?

Which one is better overall?

Super Baja Rey is a 1/6 scale

RC8T3.1e is a 1/8 scale

The Team Associated Truggy will be better at everything, less size! IMO!

Get both! I will

Durability though? 1/6 parts are much thicker!

I think what Targetingxmod is getting after is comparing Apples to Oranges.

The Baja Rey is a Basher, the RC8T3 a full on Race Truggy, that is how they were designed and marketed. The easiest way to figure out what you may or may not like, is to read through the respective threads for each vehicle.

They both have their ups and downs of course. And although the Baja Rey is 1/6 scale, it does not mean its more durable, hence all the bent rear Rods on it. I would not know many that are die hard racers, that also would have purchased the Baja Rey, and vice Versa. If you want a truly durable basher type vehicle get a Vektra.5, and be done with it.

But in both threads there is a lot of info, keep in mind that the majority of the RC8T3 owners will be racers, and the Super Baja Rey owners bashers, so again take that into context.

Super Baja Rey doesn't have issue with bent rear rods as far as I've seen.

About 1/6 parts being much thicker, many of the Super Baja Rey parts are 1/8-1/10 scale in size. That said, they are very robust trucks

With the right tires the rc8t3 will do pretty much everything better than the super Baja Rey. However, the solid axle rear Baja Rey is a much different driving experience, and is very fun.

SBR only issue we have had with it is the stock Steering Servo sucks needs upgraded to 1/5th.
It takes a heck a betting from my 11yr old for the last 6 months in the desert and has not broke anything yet, ant he sends it 6-8 feet in the air.

No history with the RC8 other than the track time and they seem very tough.

PSSS.... the SBR is a blast to drive way different than our full independent race cars.

If you want an honest answer from a Xmaxx owner... Dont even waste your money, ESC issues, pinion/spur issues (its because of all the plastic and it flexes) the shock towers break and bulkheads if you do any jumps bigger than a couple feet or land flat... and lets not even get into how bad the body mounting system is.

I highly regret buying one but my son wanted it.
I've spent so much on upgrades just to get it to a point where its actually drivable for doing decent jumps etc.

If you want to just drive around a parking lot etc then go for it.

It's also so damn big that it really restricts where you can use it.

Exactly on point. They’re awesome until you realize you’re getting lower back pain from lugging around a 30-40lb RC car and all the batteries you need for them.

I had a XMaxx, key word HAD. Still own a DBXL-E, probably only because it costs too much to ship if I sold it to someone not local.

My my favorite basher now is the MT410, smaller and better version of an XMaxx? Tough as nails, does back/front flips on demand. All on 4S. And a SCT410 when I’m not running it at a local track.

The Losi is very durable and the stock tires aren't that good but they will last just like the x-maxx it can do front flips but haven't tried backfilp yet lol.The SBR I take to the desert and it takes a big beating cant count how many the thing has cartwheeled and survived with nothing wrong.
