I guess I will need to start a new topic. Now that I am getting the SC10 I know for sure I am going to get the Team Factory. Now what electronics do I get?
ESC/Motor – I am looking at Sidewinder SCT but I can find any in stock. How about the SV2 Combo 4600? (Gear ratio part I am still learning any input?) I know I can fry stuff If I do it wrong.
Servo – I was looking at the EXI good price for digital with Metal gear. D226F or D227F
TX/RX not sure prices are crazy maybe Specktrum $99
I already have a charger. I will get 2- 2s Lipos with 4000mah or 5000mah

What do you think?? Remeber we are not racing.

Also thank you all for all the input.

if you're not racing at all, you may want to think (at least briefly) about the regular kit instead of the factory team

the price savings on the kit is generally going to be about $80

that extra $80 buys you the improved shocks, CVD's (upgrade from dog bones), improved slipper, some aluminum bits, and a battery hold down upgrade that makes it easier to move the battery forward or backward for weight adjustments

those goodies are certainly nice, but you could take the savings and put it towards your servo/radio/motor...

or heavens forbid... (since I love assembling kits) the brushless RTR is generally about the same price as the FT kit

I think the factory team truck is the ideal truck. You can even build it together and etc. not to mention its got all the better option over the rtr kits

i'd keep the motor simple with the sidewinder SCT. you can't beat the price.

TX/RX the Spektrum dx3e is fine with a great price point.

As for the servo I know nothing about EXI

But a brushless sc10 RTR kit will be cheaper overall and perfect for driveway fun. it comes with servo motor esc radio and all.

That is why I want the Factory Team so we can build it together and teach him how it all works. I have set aside $500
SC10 $250 – I am sure I can get it cheaper
ESC/Motor $120 – I wish I can find the SCT if not I will do the SV2- 4600 is cheaper if you guys think its ok?
TX/RX - $100 -Spektrum
Batteries/Servo and MISC stuff - $130

No you're good, unless it stops getting replies.

you may actually want to go with the SV2 4600

the 3800kv 4 pole has a LOT of power, which is fun when you've got traction but if you're running in dirt it's borderline too much power

I've run about 50/50 pavement and dirt on my SC10, and the stock tires are just about bald in maybe 5 packs worth of running (it's been fun though!)

I have an RC10 T4, B4, SC10, and 1/10 Revo. My son drives all 4 of them and he's 4 so any truck you choose will be fun. The B4 and T4 are pretty light. He is a bit intimidated by the Revo but the rest he has a blast with. All are pretty fast, I just lowered the top end and punch with settings on the Tx so its controllable.
