Personally I prefer Byron.
As for Cosmo, if like kitracer said that it makes excessive carbon build up, my opinion is due to "oil inside" quality.
Maybe I should forget to try it.
Coz it was my main concern when I chose to use byron, best "oil inside" quality. Just my 2cents.
Actually, Cosmo don't leave any carbon build up at ALL.
The engine "looks" as good as new after 1 to 2 litre.
after reading Corse-R comments, that probably mean Cosmo use a lot more synthetic instead of castor oil. Not so good.

For synthetic oil: This (Klotz Original techniplate).

For Castor oil: This (Klotz Bėnol)

Used other castor oils (Castrol M - fine but scarce to find, seems that has been discontinued by Castrol, Klotz IMHO is much better) and have other to give it a try...

Good thread!
Nice to see there are others out there that blend their own fuel. Corse-R, have you tried Sig AA or Baker's AA (same castor, different package) these are pure AA grade castors. No additives or fortifications like Benol. Early on (the 70's) I made the mistake of using AAA castor from the drug store, I got about three laps, this was in a Webra .60 powered hydroplane, when the engine seized.
Lesson learned,
Kiiski
