Jon, Bob,
Yes all very interesting, I have some ideas for my next test runs lined up I think. I'll probably start on Sunday and run through 4 days. I'm looking forward to seeing some data on what we talked about.
John, I just noticed you had Redline Motor in the ID at the bottom of your posts. EJ frequently races at our club here, I picked up a 9x2 from him recently for running in Mod 12th. It's a good motor, great build quality but right now I'm working on run time issues so I haven't managed to get where I want with it yet. EJ is a very nice guy to deal with I'm glad to see he is doing well nationwide.
Chris.

Bob,
At least part of the reason for my research is because of my involvement with Pro Trak but I do find this stuff very interesting and I may well of done it anyway. And as you were saying on the other thread, you need to determine what value you place on customer service.
I usually get Pro match cells as I have access to them for a good price without having to be tied to them with a deal and price is a major factor for me. As I was saying to John last night the variation for the cell voltages could be for many reasons, one of those reasons could be matcher integrity, there are some less than scrupulous ones out there. I decided early on that I won't publicly trash anyone's cells as the reasons for bad results could be not the matchers problem. BUT when I get a good result accross the board I'll let it be known. The good thing about the way I do it is the numbers speak for themselves, I don't have to rely on my reputation (or lack thereof) for people to believe me. I'm hoping that what I do will be accepted as constructive for the benefit of all.
