If the Smc are genuine then i would go for those. Or thunder power 50c are great.

I would not touch an SMC with a barge pole, they are either extremely over hyped or just plain shite, yes, any battery that temperamental is shite. And yes, I have seen them in the flesh. The Orion is a good battery, probably overpriced but a good battery none the less.

My 2c, brand pimps feel free to flame away

I had heard that 50c battery packs do not heat up enough when used with a stock engine and there for, don't run as well. One theory is that a warm (not hot) battery pack runs better than a cooler one.

Thats what Thunder Power say on their website. Without being a "brand pimp" anyone who doesn't think the TP's are the best on the market, just hasn't tried one. They also take a lot of race wins

I own one TP 5000 40C and I have 3 SMC 5200 50c's. I like them all the same. Hard for me to tell the difference between them. Now I did have a problem with the 40c's SMC but SMC replaced the one that swelled free with a 50c. Had zero problems with the 50c's. SMC are not crap...just know what your doing with them.
