Hey guys, i just bought a brand new T2 007 car, and its the US version, isnt this car made to be ran on carpet? I am planning runing it on concrete, will the car still be competitive.

Also for outdoors racing you want the chassis to flex more than carpet correct. Thanks guys!

CVD Chatter

RC Market, nice looking ride!
You sure have all the good gear there.

How do it stop my T2 from getting steering chatter when i turn tight?
Does the 07 have better CVD's or is there a better after market set i can run.
I would prefer Universals as they let you turn tighter without chatter.
Any help with this would be much appreciated.

The US version is made primarily for foam/carpet racing, but has been successfully used for rubber/carpet as well as high grip rubber/asphalt racing. I would suggest looking for a setup here. It might be hard to find one with the correct US chassis for rubber/asphalt though, as you can't search by chassis type.

Maybe someone else has found a good rubber/asphalt setup with the US kit (including using a front diff)? Anyone?

You could also try asking this question on the XRAY Forum

Check our tips for reducing chatter here; there are two separate sections added on 5/11/06.

Yep. If you can afford it, you would be better off getting the EU conversion kit for the one-way, top deck and softer (hard as opposed to the US kits extra hard) arms as well.

Actually the conversion dosent have a Multi Diff or the Suspension arms, just the chassis parts, you would have to buy the diff and arms separate, it is still a little cheaper than buying the EU 007 Kit but not by much

My Plan is to get the 007 EU kit instead of buying parts or upgrades.

I was thinking about my options for the asphalt rubber season (I own a US kit). I guess since I have a multidiff already I'm going to buy the EU chassis the new topdeck coming out and maybe the delrin spool... oh wait thats almost $200 already The conversion kit would be more appealing if it came with the new topdeck...
