I use diff up front aswell, and never had anything break...other than that time at a regional race that i got a horrible glitch and went into a marshall's ankle at full speed ...and bent a hinge pin...:P
hey sportracer... what's your setup for bumpy outdoor asphalt with rubber tires and front diff? I want to compare. every one just has setups for front oneways.

as for the snap...just no getting around the 04's 2.3 vs the E3's 2.6 ratio. (big spur baby)
That being said it will be interesting to hear if the 415 that S is using at the Reedy in Thailand has new pully's that increase the internal?
He looks mighty happy for someone that is testing a new belt car

Any tips available for running the Surikarn on carpet w/foam tires? Oil wt, springs, shock position? This is for a stock motor. I got my ass handed to me by a TC3 this weekend at our regional, and I am looking for some help as I head to the U.S Indoor Champs in Cleveland. I qualified 4th and was running 3rd w/30 seconds to go when 4th place decided I was in the was in the way and took me out.
I am running 90 wt oil in front w/associated yellow springs (35 spring rate) and 70 wt oil in the rear with purple associated springs (30 spring rate) in the rear. No sway bar. All shocks in the most upright position. Purple rear tires and plaid fronts.
Also any motor tips would be helpful as well. I run at a 12th scale track, so I am the only sedan there...I have no one to compare with.
Thanks guys.....

Derek and dumper try adding spacing under the rear link. I ran 4mm under the rear with 2mm under the front. 2mm roll change under the rear links only. Sounds backwards and extreme but it quickens side to side transition and locks the rear in without the penalty of lazy transition and/or understeery vague front end.
Tires double pink orange front Jaco
double pink rear
60wt 2 hole pistons all around
1d rear toe
Plaid front and dbl purple rear just would not hold the lap times that the pinks would
Very high bite carpet

Does anyone know when the new and improved front one-way gear will be available?
Also, Is there any luck in finding the red mid shaft? I can only find the blue or gray ones right now.

Difuser- what body were you running? Derek might need to change bodies before loosening the rear by raising the camber links. The Proto Alpha 2.0 always feels loose in the rear to me when going from the Stratus 2.0 to the Alpha 2.0. I would suggest the Losi Alpha. You might have to do a little work to move the traction balance to the front, but the Losi is stuck.
Personally, I dislike the Alpha 2.0 on any surface.

The Alpha has more front bite and that's what I was looking for.

Downforce- thanks man. That is quite a bit different form where I am. My droop is at 5.5mm.
How are the HPI clamp on hexes different from stock?
ISn't 200mm too wide? I thought the max width was 190mm.
I will try to find you at Cleveland. I will be easy to find. I am part of the CRC crew. Just ask for Dumper.
