novarossi 12

Hi there. Could someone possibly identify my engine as I am now getting confused about which one it is. in the manuel it says its a novarossi rs12 s2. on there website there is only one rs12 and the full name is RS12S1TP. I need to know as the codes are different for the parts and need to install a new piston and liner as the guy i brought it off brought the wrong set. in the photo of the pistons on the right are the old set and on the left is the set he brought. The new piston hits the top and does not turn over. so i then brought the right conrod which was a (07601). it now turns over at the top but doesnt get past the bottom as the piston hits the crankshaft as i believe it doesnt have the groove in it like the old one. anyone with a bit of novarossi knowledge would be greatful if they could help and would help me to get the right piston and conrod. thanks

The new one is for the old Mugen MT12. It had a longer rod and no cutout in the piston. Yours is probably based on the old MR12 or X12. Not sure though.

Motor looks really close to an LL3 that I sold on eBay a while ago. Check those parts.

MR .12 based but not MR.12... sold one today.
The one on the right looks like what was in the Nova 353.

ok thanks for the replies. so no one knows exactly what type of engine it is or what piston and liner I will need. I know I will need the same set as the old ones (right on the piston photo) so if anyone knows the code
for that set it I would be much appreciated. thanks

Yes it did but there were other motors based on it as well that did not.
