Default Looking for a new .21 under $200. Suggestions?

I am thinking about a new .21 motor and I am looking for the best value under $200. The thing is I would like to try something new which eliminates RB, ALpha, Orion, OS, Go, OPS, SH, Ninja (grp), and some others. I have not owned a Novarossi and consequently there are a couple motors from them I can afford. I also have not tried BP which I think is made by Nova.

Here are some I am debating:

BP 5 port (X5RB)
Nova Mugen Beat
Nova S21P5XLT
Nova N21 5T
Ofna .21 Pro JL

I am leaning towards the BP 5 port and Nova N21 5T.

I am also open to other suggestions. I have not owned a Picco either. One thing I would like to avoid is a motor that feels like an on off switch. I have a damn RB .28 9 port and that thing is balls to the walls. Its for a buggy but would also like it compatible with a truggy as well.

BP's are made by BP in their own facility. As far as what you get, the BP is a full top-flight race motor, where the other motors you listed are more of entry-level offerings.

Werks.

B2 for ease of use, B5 for the Torque, or the B6 for the smoothness.

Yes the B6 is $220 but it is an absolute blast of a motor in a buggy. The B5 is a torque monster but still very controllable. The Newish B2 is a great all around motor. Not as strong as the B5, doesn't rev as high as the B6 and a touch under both of them in smoothness but still a great motor.

Deffinetly Werks.

Ok I forgot about Werks. I have an O'donnell .21 ss and I love it and how it revs. Which of the Werks would be best for smoothness and RPM ?

BP or Werks? I like the BP a lot but I do not see a lot of feedback.

What about the fusion x3 or x5?

Honestly I am interested in the Nova Keep Off and the Bonito even though it is an extra $150ish. Do the full race motors last just as long the entry line engines or they wear faster?

a high end italian engine like a novarossi bonito or keep off will last twice as long as a werks if you ask me(with proper care)...but you could pretty much get 2 werks for the money....but the performance will not be equal to that of a bonito or keep off either....i have a brand new .21 orion wasp crf rev race engine....was a top of the line mill when released....from what i hear it is actually one of the best engines orion ever produced....i'll take 250 for it....can guarantee you you cannot get anything nicer for that much money

The BP's are very nice engines. Quality is slightly ahead of the major brands. They're a very stable running engine, good mileage, long wear and they're pretty easy to get dialed in. I don't think you would be disappointed with one.

This kind of highlights one of the issues of new or unheard of brands. Everyone waits for someone else to take that first step. This really doesn't work too well, as its hard to gain traction without having a big name driver behind the brand.

Check eBay. I just won auction for new Picco boost 5tr 2012..
Item is new and seller happened to be Lance from Rc renew. Was listed for $260 or best offer. I bid 175 and counter offer came back as $200.. He's breaking motor in for extra cost before ships it.

For under 200, I've always wanted to try a Werks.. B6 in buggy, B5 in truggy, B2 in either with the right pipe, clutch, and gearing..
