I've ran my MMax 4600 in a FT TC4, and my 4600 and 5700 in my T2. I think the Novak 3.5 and/or 4.5 is faster than the 5700, but it may have been my batteries making the difference.

yeah they were running lipos in the testing i read. and most trucks run around 11-12 final drive. most cars run around 9. which makes a difference. so im not sure if it will be good or not.

What's the street price for a mamba max? Looking at the brushless systems the only affordable one will be the tekin brushless. I'm looking at going brushless next year as I'll have less time tinkering with motors.

The MM works just fine in touring cars, but you will gear it harder then the novak setup's since it has less rpm and more grunt. Dont worry it still feels nice and smooth.

yeah it is lower rpm, but to push a 2wd race truck 55mph! it obviously has power. o and it would make 4wd buggies wheelstand at 40mph, so its obviously putting it down fast too. im just not sure if that would be good for racing. seems like if it spins that hard then you would use it for drifting or something similar. long swooping tracks or something probly.

The speed control is very easy to tune with the computer link. You need not worry.

Castle Creations says its as fast as a 7 turn so thats right in 3.5/4-Star territory. I will let you guys know on Monday.

the 5700 is faster then the 7700 in a truck. it can run 3s lipo while the 7700 can only run 2s, which makes a little better power. the 7700 could only get up to about 45-50 while the 5700 was supposed to be going 60+ on a XXX4. thats just what the guys at BYT said atleast. i know this is the on-road forum section, but this is the only review i have of it. and the gearing is only a little bit higher in trucks and buggies, so it should be close to what a car would do. right? http://www.beatyourtruck.com/prodreview-mambamax.html thats the review i read.

No doubt...Th 5700 on 3s should be faster.

In On Road though fast lap times are more inportant thant terminal velocity. 99% of the time we could gear for more speed on the straight but you lose more time in the infield than you gain on the straight so we gear for a balance of punch and and top end.

The 7700 on 6 IB4200 should be as fast as a good mod motor.

Adrian, Dont be afraid to throw a bit more gear at the motor then you would think...basically keep going up untill it starts to feel slow in the infield, back down 1 or 2, you should not need to worry about thermaling, only dumping
