Default DX5R Pro

Got mine today and I have to say that it is well worth the $299 price tag. Wedges take minutes to install if you want them. The new large grip might be a little too thick for some people’s hands. The trigger adjustment is a lot smoother then the 5R. The only issue I have with the new receiver is there is only one aux slot and with no bind plug I am unable to run my mylaps transponder and my motor fan without hardwiring the fan or a 2/1 adapter.

Jeff, thanks for the kind words. Really wanted to make the wedges easier to use, glad you are liking it!! With the fan.. yes if you hardware the fan either to the esc or battery, its actually better for the fan and the electrical system in general. Not the only reason we did this way, but doesn't hurt.

Default Battery Life

Can anyone comment on how battery life has been for them so far (and what batteries you are using)? This is really the only concern I have left, just want to make sure it doesn’t eat batteries. I will probably buy the 2000mah Lithium pack if I purchase this radio, but would like to hear some user feedback. Thanks!

I am using 4 AA right now waiting for my Lipo to show up but they have held up way better then they did in my 5R

got the 5 pro. after I got it set up it has the best feel of any pistol I have held. wow. wedges work great went with the reg wheel and the med grip.
The only thing i noticed is the roller seems to be a little too sensitive....anyone else notice this ?
that aside it is nice

Finally used my new DX5 PRO yesterday. I will say, this is a great feeling radio. I agree that the roller does seem a bit sensitive, but not a big deal for me. I haven't tried the wedges yet, but with the included grips and wheels you will be very happy with the feel. The steering is very smooth and responsive. I came from the DX6R to this just for the non-android version. With the included antennaless receiver, this is a killer deal.

The cams are for the different diameter wheels. One for the smaller one and one for the larger, I just don't remember right now which is for which.

36° cam is for the smaller wheel. 32° cam is for the larger (stock) wheel

This is the configuration I settled on radios unbelievably comfortable compared to my dx4s this may sound a little nuts but it may have actually made me a little faster the radio now conforms to the Natural angles in which my arms settle and are most comfortable before I never noticed it but I had to turn my wrist and hold the radio in a certain way that was actually uncomfortable but works that's just the way it was so I never thought about it but once I put this in my hands and played with it all I can say is wow
