Pound-It-Raceway (San Diego)
Pound It Racing is proud to open a new on-road parking lot track. WE are currently only running practice sessions. Racing is soon to follow. The track is 100'x50'. The track is flat, smooth, and tons of traction. We will not be opoen every week, but there will be notice of upcoming practice dates. Please post any questions that you may have. Constructive criticism is extremely welcome.

Thanks for the info on this new location.
Some questions:
1. Where is the location, I know it is off of the 15 and Balboa?
2. What are you using for track barriers?
3. What kind of schedule do you have in mind for running?
4. Access to power for charging etc?
For scoring systems you could do some hand counting like DHW does until you get a timing loop.

1. First post was edited for location.
2. WE are currently using fire hose and large dots.
3. Currently a random schedual dew to all the races that are going on. I will keep everyone posted. Mostlly saturdays.
4. The building has power and a good amount of it. I don't have extension cords for everyone but please bring your own. If you have a genorator please bring it just in case.
I really think that you need to have lap times to run a good program. You can get by but I really don't like racing like that. Just a personal thing. If there are people that want to set up a mock race I will keep track but not for too many people.

Got room for a 1/8 scale electric?

I think you should have some sort of point series with some prizes to give away and a certain amount of throw away races, probably more than the usual amount since you dont have a set schedule yet.

The firehoses and dots work good as well, if anyone out there was wondering

Pics of parking lot at 4373 Viewridge ave. San Diego, CA 92123
Drove by the site this evening. Will the track be using the front of the lot, or is there a back part that is not visible from the street?
Here are some pics that I took of the surface of the parking lot in front at the address listed. The surface looked pretty good.

Tech Master
That dosnt look like either of them. Those look pretty rough compared to what I ran on the first time we raced there.
