UFO clutch(+ ED) help more powerful in straight.

Does it give more chassis flex?
Does it give more grip to the wheels?
Does it make the car less nervous?
Please let us know the benefit of doing this, 'cos at the moment we only have pictures and your word saying it is better, but where is it better?
England is currently cold and damp, so any help in finding that little edge will help.
I have even thought of removing the ED system for the cold months, or even sticking in the Wasp motor, just need to tame the car in low grip conditions.

so chassis wasn't twisted by hand in strong power.
the less chassis roll is not good in low grip.
of course, in good grip the car go well.. but i think stability is low.
and so to speak about weak point of the metal side stiffener,
it can be twisted by crash. (it will grip chassis in twisted shape)
but carbon side stiffener give some roll(twist grip) and broken in strong crash.
serpent(960,720) used carbon stiffener. (maybe that reason)
this option is more good than normal steel stiffener

Diff' use......
Hi All,
I see more and more using a front diff' (With 30, 0r 50,000wt or whatever in)
in favour of the one way or the fixed spool.
I've been using the spol and find it's good for driving aggressively, not too sure if that's my true style of driving though??!
Have been thinking of trying out a diff' as I used to use a stiff diff' when running in England.(100,000wt)
Your thought's
Menace

I have changed to a front diff from a spool and will be running this weekend.
Aparent difference between spool and diff is mainly in the corner entry speed and control.
Ran the car with 8000w GS oil and since then have seen that the guys recommend between 20000w - 50000w ,so will be running this weekend with 30000w.

The only problem I have with aluminum sides are they will bend and tweak. So if you crash and the alum. sides look straight, the could be bent and then you are trying to set up a tweaked car. With carbon fibre sides, in a crash one of two things happen, they will bow under force of crash and go back to original shape or the will break!! Now if the latter happens, it's expensive but it is a lot better than trying to set up a tweaked car.
Gansei - those movies are great! A bit of good driving there never hurts either, but we love it!

The aluminum sides were bent and it couldn't be seen with your eye. until I finally took them off. They were bent as.......... well you know the rest.
so i changed to 100% carbon side stiff (E-CLASS mods)

After a heavy rear end shunt I couldn't get the car to work properly. I found that the side plates had allowed the rear end to ride up a little and then they were holding it up so tweako presto.
I unscrewed the two screws that hold each plate near the layshaft bearings and let the rear end fall back to it's natural position. Voila!, tweak gone.
Cheers,
Mike.
