Default G.L.A.R.C.R.C. RACING NEWS

G.L.A.R.C.R.C. will be hosting it's regularly scheduled events this month at the Artesia Transit Center. This weekend July 11,12 2009 and July 25,26 2009

The plan is to agree on a layout that everyone will have fun on and keep it till the end of the year. Also, heavy spraying with VHT will reduce tyre wear every time we use it. We are working on some other projects but for now, the club agrees that the Transit Center is great for R/C racing and we just have to make small improvements. We hope that the racers will support our events and have fun as well.

See U this weekend, practice Saturday, racing Sunday start time 10:00am

GLARCRC will be racing the weekend of July 25,26 2009. This upcoming race will feature the NATC series 1/5 scale, 1/8 G.T., and R/C Superbikes racing on Saturday followed by an all classes club race on Sunday. Saturday's race should conclude around 3:00pm and the track will then be available for open practice for Sunday's race.

Last weekend's race was a lot of fun and everybody agreed on the layout for the rest of the year. Heavy spraying with VHT proved to slow down foam tyre wear and it will be the same format for the upcoming race(s)

Hope to see you all there !!

Great racing this past weekend, the 1/5 scalers and the R/C Superbikes came out in force for round 6 of the NATC Freeway Series and Sunday, the Nitro guys finalized the layout for the rest of the year and it was off the chain!!, pe some of the guys that ran the new layout read this post and will comment. After spraying 9 GALLONS of VHT everybody agrees that this kind of traction defiinately saves tyres and as long as we keep that much VHT on the race surface, it will just get better. See everybody in August!!

Smile MUCH BETTER

GLENN"

Yes the track was much better with about half the tirewear previously. And the lay out is fun from 1/10 1/8 to 1/5 so all we have to do is keep running and spraying the same line then the wear will diminish even further

I had a great time racing a 1/5th scale for the first time. I can't wait to try again. Thanks to Shaw and Ray for the Contrast rental.
