Danny 27x47x145 will fit the e revo. That was 15c pack 8000 mah
. Actually it could be a little longer see the picture and dimensions
That someone posted above of the battery compartment. A 20c or higher 8000 that would fit would be ideal.

Thanks for the info. We can do a 24C pack using the cells in our 4100 packs. We would make the pack a 2S2P and the size would be around 33 x 44 x 135.

33 would be a little to high 27 or28 is about perfect. The tray is only 30 high. If not 8000 how about 7000. The current 5000 just don't have enough run time

How about 7600 to 7800 at 28mm in height with 160mm in lenght using our 24C materials ? Our supplier is building a few sample packs to see the capacity.

Are 11.1v packs popular in the revo ? We could do 5200/24C with 11.1V.

7600 would be awesome. 160 long should just squeeze in there. I would test fit it first just to be sure. A hard case pack isn't to important since it's enclosed in the chassis. If it's ok with you I would like to link this thread on the traxxas forums

Can anyone tell me if the plastic piece inside the Revo battery compartment can be removed or moved so a pack that is 160mm will fit ?

Yes they come out , they are for adjusting for shorter packs and simply unscrew. The tray is 160 long at full height. Then it tapers down. If the corners were rounded off it slide in since it's wider then 160 but not at full height.

Thanks. We will be making a brand new cell that will fit in the Revo. We will go with 25C and the capacity is to be determined. As soon as I have this info I will post it.

Here's a post with a picture containing the dimensions of the battery tray.

You guys should invest in an E-Revo chassis, battery door, and retaining clips for R&D!

Traxxas parts:
5622 - E-Revo chassis
5627 - Battery doors
5629 - Retaining clips

Our EFRA style pack will most likely fit on the Type R. We hope to have the new pack available by the middle of February.

Here is a bit more info on the E-Revo pack.

We expect the capacity to be 8600mAh 25C with the following size 29 x 50 x 159.

The retail will be 185.00 with an estimated street price of 125.00

We hope to have them available by the end of February.
