I am incapable of using the search function, ban me if you want.

Basically nitro is just pissing me right off. So, converting my Jato to electric. I'm quite the handy man, so cutting the crap of everything and making mounts is no problem, however here's my main question.

I need an absolutely noob guide for the basics of electric cars. I have no idea if there's different engine mounting, what the hell an ESC is, or what a complete set up includes.

I too have great difficulty when searching for a topic within the electric section. I put in the key word(s) and a million other things appear, threads where I am pretty sure the key word(s) never appear anywhere in the thread, much less its title. I do search by title.

Don't worry, questions like yours have been asked a lot, an I know the search can be difficult sometimes, but I have yet to see a question like this about a Jato. If I were you, I would change the title of your topic to "Need help converting Jato to electric". You will most likely get more answers this way.
