which gasket are you using for the header?? im going nuts, here. i bought a set of mugen .21 gaskets. i thought they were working, but i seem to have an air leak still as my pixi hit 302 today on the temp(its a cold day)

I don't understand why exactly you've surmised that your header gasket has resulted in your engine running at exactly 302 degrees. Is there a visible leak from the manifold? If your engine is running hot try richening it up a bit.

Check the o'rings in the carb. there may be a leak some where else besides the exhaust gasket. How do those pixi engines go when they're running good?

well let me start up here. the gasket im using is so so, plus the air leak only seems to occur when im idling as you can hear the car lean out, but as you rev around it seems like its going away and once the rpms seddles it leans out. the header gasket just seems logical since its been my biggest problem, the header gaket from the .21 only seemed to help slow the air leak.

im gonna try and use a little RTV around the carb. whats the stuff i need? i always forget which type

about the pixi, when it runs, its like a raped ape on speed....though i need a stronger steering and braking servo, my current ones have a hard time turning and stopping at almost top speed
